Memorial rosewood urn with solid rose gold raised inlays COMMISSION ONLY
From a solid log of 10" diameter rosewood, this urn was in made in memorial of an accomplished musician. The widow who commissioned it found an untraceable rose gold flute mouthpiece in her safe and instructed us to cut it up and do something artistic with it in her commission. Rather daunted by the task in hand, we settled on cutting shapes of sheet musical script symbols denoting different lengths of rest. The urn was hollowed out large enough to accept the deceased's ashes in their original container from the crematorium. The urn snaps tightly shut via the expanding radial dovetail of the lid and the lower part at the widest diameter point. The protruding flared top cylinder is a memento pot for loose keepsakes and is an unseparated continuation of the original log material.
